DOGS On A Mission

Our Mission Statement “Showing others they are cared about by our Actions and Spreading Christ’s Love through acts of Kindness” I Believe at the end of the day if we hadn’t made a difference then we have missed our Purpose

Ms. Deb

DOGS On A Mission Ministry was Created in 2013 by the Owner of Bubbles and Bows, Ms Deb in honor of her mother who was raised in an orphanage with her brothers and sisters and spent most of their childhood facing times of hunger and without experiencing a true Christmas. Because of that her mother always told Debbie that a child should never go without Christmas nor Families go hungry.

This is why Debbie started DOGS On A Mission using Bubbles and Bows to collect toys and food for children and families in need, and reaching out into our Community to make a difference. Two years after the Ministry was started, her mother was diagnosed with cancer in her brain and lungs and even though the diagnosis was terminal, Debbie was able to have two more years with her mother. When her mother passed Debbie promised to continue DOGS On A Mission for the rest of her life so that no child would ever have to go without during the holidays. Our volunteers come from as far as Arkansas to help with our Mission! We have had as many as 52 children and dozens of families in one Christmas whom we provided Christmas and Food for and we don’t just stop there. We Pray and continue to Minister to these Families through out the year. And without you, we could not make this all as possible!

DOGS On A Mission – Ministering to those in need

DOGS stands for Depend on God and has been operational since 2013. At least twice a year, owners of the dogs, who are the ambassadors of the program, donate their free time and money to provide Christmas and Easter to children and families in need, as well as participate in other projects in the community. We have continued to watch this Ministry grow each year and continue to show our Community that someone does care! We have also started our newest project in Baby Showers for New Mothers celebrating a “Only One Choice” of LIFE and in doing that we help them with diapers, formula, clothes and many items as well as Pray and Love them to help them know they made the right choice.

DOGS getting involved in the community

Every year the DOGS biggest projects are Christmas and Easter drives.

A wrapping party is held annually with the humans behind the DOGS wrapping the collected presents, with a little help from the dogs and at Easter we have a huge Food Box Packing Event. The Gaston County Sheriff’s Office is also a huge help to us by helping with the Christmas wrapping and Packing of Food Boxes. Our special girl “Diamond” visits The GCSO to Love on the employees and providing Unlimited Free Petting, Spreading Joy and Bible Scripture for Encouragement while letting them know what they do for our Community is Appreciated. In addition in 2019 “Diamond” earned her Badge “Deputy Love Bug”.

“The biggest part that we do for these families is not only provide Christmas presents and food, but we minister and pray with these families and let them know about our savior and our biggest gift is the baby in the manger that came over 2,000 years ago,”

Ms. Deb
